The Challenge
Pearson Airport is a true “city” within a city. There are over 400 employers that have positions within the airport, creating a very unique and special community across the 50,000+ employees. Because Pearson is just a location and not an employer, all available jobs at Pearson were being posted on company specific job boards, scattered across different platforms and websites. This left it challenging for a job seeker to picture themselves working there, and difficult to explain the remarkable buzz of being a part of the Pearson community.
What we did
The best way to display a workplace is to feature actual team members who are making the magic happen. We did a video and photoshoot at Pearson, with real employees, where our camera crew shadowed different shifts and positions to get live action footage to show what working within Pearson was actually like. We then built an online job hub, where a job seeker could search for any available job at Pearson, and view the tailored videos by industry so they too could see themselves joining the community.
How it worked
Increase in applications and successful hires resulted from building a more cohesive journey for job seekers.
